Ambulatory Surgery

Ambulatory Surgery

Our ambulatory surgical center is designed with convenience in mind while providing a safe and affordable alternative to hospital-based surgery. Our surgical facility maintains the latest in medical technology, while providing our patients a comfortable, safe, and relaxing atmosphere. The facility is certified by the State of Georgia and a national accreditation association.

Our patients come to the office approximately one week prior to their scheduled date of surgery to complete the necessary forms and consents and have the appropriate examinations and laboratory tests performed. Once everything has been satisfactorily completed and reviewed, the surgery date is confirmed.

On the day of surgery, the patient is accompanied by a friend or family member to drive them home. The patient is escorted by our staff to the surgical suite. Depending on the type of procedure to be performed, the patient may be given a mild sedation which is administered by a qualified anesthesiologist or certified registered nurse anesthetist. After surgery, the patient is monitored in recovery until time to go home. After recovery, the doctor discusses the case and reviews the postoperative X-rays with the patient.
